Storm Benjamin tried but failed to dampen the spirits at this years Halloween Disco. With three separate discos arranged across the evening, the children really stepped up this year with some wonderful fancy dress and spooky makeup to frighten the teachers on duty. A special thanks to all the volunteers who helped set up and theme the classrooms, entrance and main school hall, man the cafe and sweets and toy stall, and pack everything away when its finished. We raised a healthy sum of money and the final figure should be announced soon. Big thanks to Moji Entertainer for another fabulous year supporting our disco.
The sun has shone on us again and we got lots done including clearing and reseeding some of the wildflowers areas, painting the raised beds with wood preservative, assembling a planter for a new sensory planted area, getting our ‘Big Bug Hotel” in place and clearing one of the large flower beds around the KS1 building. Many of these items were funded using the £500 grant from the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme.
The CRSA applied to Wickes, the home improvement retailer, as part of their Community Programme. We are thrilled that they have chosen us for their monthly charitable donations. They kindly donated 18 x 50 litre bags of compost which will be put to good use in the raised beds and other parts of the garden this term. Many thanks to Lindsay Dean and the Wickes Hendon team.
The CRSA are looking for the next parent or carer to take on the task of managing its IT arrangements. You don't have to be the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs, its a pretty simple task that just requires an hour here or there to keep up to date. If you're interested then please email either contact@crsa.online or it@crsa.online for more details.
Our Annual General Meeting took place on the evening of Wednesday 1st October 2025. Thank you to everyone who attended and raised questions and issues for the team to address. Full minutes from this meeting will be published soon. The majority of the CRSA team were voted back in with just a couple of new faces to welcome. Co-Chair Nikki Rice "We're delighted and honoured to be voted in again to continue the success our team delivered for the 24-25 school year. We've lots of exciting events planned for 25-26 and are actively working with the School Senior Leadership Team to appoint funds where needed."
The school dads came together recently to finish building the new PE Sheds bought by Complete Sports. After a plea for help, Stephen Rice, Dave Neville, Adrian Muresan, Romans Strancevskis & Guyan came along to finish the work that James Dickens and Hadi Indigo did the ground work for earlier this year. To all the dads a big thank you from the school and especially from Leon Shillito and Jack Baker.
Thank you to all the parents who donated their no-longer-required clothing and footwear for our recycling campaign. For the new Reception parents we hold 3 visits a year to help raise funds for the charity. We will shortly be providing the results of our latest collection along with our recycling stats for 2025. Thank you to everyone who has contributed.
What a lovely afternoon spent watching the amazing Olena demonstrate her beautiful art and journey through bubbles. The children, teachers and parents all enjoyed themselves across the two shows and the event raised £543 ! for the CRSA.

The CRSA website has launched its Parent Hub page. A place for articles covering topics for parents and carers of school kids that we know are being discussed at the school gate. If you stumble across an article you feel would benefit other parents knowing about then please send us the link, or if you would like us to cover off a topic then drop us email with your suggestion.
