World Cup Dribble-A-Thon
World Cup Dribble-A-Thon
To celebrate the upcoming World Cup, pupils at Cromer Road will take part in a DRIBBLE-A-THON!!
This is an event jointly-organised between Cromer Road Primary School, the CRSA and Complete Sports.
Every child is being challenged to dribble a ball twice around the perimeter of the school grounds (approximately 1 km), finishing on the school field, where they will score a goal as fast as they can at the finish line with the speed of the goal they score being recorded. Every child will receive a certificate for completing the challenge and the child with the fastest goal kick will receive a prize.
The classes will all complete the activity during their PE slot with the Complete Sports team (weather dependent – so the day this occurs may change) but we are expecting every child to take part between 2nd and 8th June.
Not only are the children celebrating the World Cup and improving their fitness, but we are also asking them to collect sponsorship for this challenge to raise money for the school. In recent years, the CRSA has helped fund playtime equipment such as balls, pumps, a den construction kit, skipping ropes and hoops. Plus other health-related donations such as the visit from Steel the Gladiator, 2 new set of football goals and football kit for the girls’ team.
Here’s the money bit for the grown ups........
All children will be sent home with a sponsorship form, for those who wish to use one (more can be downloaded using the link below). We are encouraging you to ask family and friends to sponsor your child to take part in this challenge. Every donation from 20p to £20 will be spent on Cromer Road Primary. Please bring cash donations to school in a clearly marked envelope stating DRIBBLE-A-THON with your child's name and class. Don’t forget to fill in the gift aid details which lets us claim an extra 25p per £1 at no extra cost to you.
The deadline for all donations is Friday 12th June 2026
